Popular Courses In India for Nepali Students

Every year thousands of students have been traveling to various countries across the world for the higher education. People have kept the desire to get foreign degrees for their successful career. Nepali students have reached to almost 64 different countries for their higher education. USA, UK, Germany, Australia, China are the popular destination abroad. But India has been most popular destination among others.

India continues to be most preferred education destination for Nepali students from many years. Nepali Students have been travelling to India from hundreds of years for education. Apart from proximity to Nepal and affordable tuition fees, the truth that both the countries share much the same culture makes parents feel that it is a safe place to go for their children’s college education. Nepali students also prefer India as they do not need to fulfill much many formalities of different tests and visa processing in order to go to India for higher education. There’s been enormous progress in the Indian Education System within the last few decades. Nepalese engineering colleges can only enroll almost four thousand students in one academic session. This situation makes neighboring India as natural and affordable choice to many of those students who don’t get chance to enroll in Nepalese college. India has flourished in the area of engineering and information technology in last two decades. These courses enhance a student’s leadership skills through precise training, assignments, reports, and presentation and group projects, all in order to build skills which will be crucial in the real world business situation. These management courses are specially designed to install the entrepreneurship attitude in the students to enable them to start and run business of their own after completing their university education. India is additionally an attractive place for other management courses like Hotel and hospitality management, travel and tourism management etc. The price for the management courses is almost similar as in Nepal. Normal price for four years bachelor’s in management course cost over one million and two years masters’ course cost around five hundred thousand rupees.

Nursing and medical courses:

From back few years the attraction for medical profession has rapidly increased in Nepal. Especially, girls are very much to develop their career in nursing profession. As Nepalese institution cannot accommodate the entire prospective candidate for nursing education, so many are going to India to fulfill their dream of pursing career in nursing profession.

Nursing courses in India began in late 1800’s. Ever since then, they have got grown in number and quality. Wide variety of courses in nursing studies are available in India like  Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing etc. along with nursing Bachelor in medical lab technology and courses on physiotherapy are also attracting many students who wish to pursue their career in medical profession.  Bangalore is the popular southern city of India for medical courses like nursing and other. Typically, students pay around seven hundred thousand to one million rupees including room and board to complete a nursing or other medical related four years course.


Thus, India being neighboring country, it has attracted thousands of Nepali students due to its open boarder, similar culture, and world class courses, advance ultra-modern educational infrastructure and prospective job career in international companies.
